2026: I was a guest on Codice, on Italy’s Rai1, talking about robotics and artificial intelligence: from China’s push towards automation to its new cities, all the way to the global race for AI. Watch the interview on RaiPlay (in Italian).
2026: My new book, Il lavoro senza di noi (Work Without Us), is out with Tlon. It is about machines, the end of trades and universal basic income, and about what becomes of work, and of us, once working turns optional. I put a lot of myself into it 🙂
2026: Metaphora Lab closes a €300k pre-seed round: the Ribo group joins as a shareholder and strengthens our partnership on SafetyScapes, our immersive workplace safety training platform. StartupItalia covered the news (in Italian).
2023: My first essay, Antropologia per Intelligenze Artificiali (Anthropology for AIs) – a cultural guide to the next generation of technological innovation, is published by D Editore. A book tour begins across Italian cities, and also in what until recently we used to call the “Metaverse”. I’m quite proud of it 🙂
2023: The Italian Consulate in Taipei (Taiwan) invites me to preview my new book at the conference “AI and Ghosts“, on the relationship between Calvino and Artificial Intelligence, exactly one hundred years after the birth of the Italian writer I love. To this day it is the most important speech I have ever given 🙂
2022: After a freelance collaboration with Skills Management Group, Metaphora is born: it will become my innovative startup in Complementary Reality (VR, AR, XR, AI).
2021: I kind of got hooked… so, some twenty days later, here I am with my second TEDx talk, this time in Verbania, talking about cybersecurity: scaring you first, to reassure you afterwards 🙂
2021: Did you know there is poetry even in engineering? Find out how poetry hides everywhere in my first TEDx talk, in Lerici!
2020-2021: The “Better Mistakes Talks” land on my YouTube channel: Federico Rampini, Alberto Forchielli, Oscar di Montigny, Marcello Ascani and many others shared their best mistakes with me, so that nobody has to make them twice. Also available on Spotify (in Italian).
2019: My videopoem “L’Ultima Volta che ho Pensato al Futuro” (The Last Time I Thought About the Future) wins the “Sinestetica” National VideoPoetry Award.
